Bethel falls to Westmont, Calif., six games set for Saturday in Rotary Basketball Classic at Oman Arena

Westmont (California) 54, Bethel University 40

Bethel’s loss came in the final game of day one in the Rotary Basketball Classic at Oman Arena, Friday.
Cassidy Tiegs led Westmont with 18 points.
Bethel’s Shamon Pearson scored 14 points and teammate Morgan Martin added 10 for the Wildcats, who fell to 5-4 with the loss.

Campbellsville (Kentucky) 68, Montana State-Northern 59

Campbellsville improved to 7-0 with its win in the Rotary Classic at Oman Arena, Friday.

Savannah Gregory scored 19 points, Jordan Doram added 17 and Madison Clements contributed 12.

Montana State-Northern shot 46 percent for the game, while holding Campbellsville to 36 percent, but the difference was on the boards.

Campbellsville outrebounded Montana State-Northern, 46-36, with 12 coming on offense.

MidAmerica Nazarene (Kansas) 72, Martin Methodist (Tennessee) 33

MidAmerica Nazarene held a commanding 34-18 lead at intermission, before pulling away in the second half.
Jovana Jovovic scored a game-high 15 points and Tristin Wicks added 14 for MidAmerica (5-1).
Brooklyn Blanchard was the bright spot for Martin Methodist (6-3) with 10 points.

Freed-Hardeman 72, University of Providence, Montana 44

Sandrea Sylman scored a game high 21 points and Jamie Crum added 17 (5 3s) in Freed-Hardeman’s 72-44 win, in the Rotary Classic at Oman Arena, Friday.

The Lady Lions shot 45 percent for the game, and handed Providence its first loss in nine games this year.

Vanguard (California) 58, Cumberland (Tennessee) 45

Amber Alexander turned in a double-double – 11 points, 11 rebounds – in Vanguard’s win over Cumberland.

Alyssa Durr and Victoria Chea had 12 points each as Vanguard improved to 3-0.
Cumberland’s Janisha Lindsey led all scorers with 16 points.

Shawnee State (Ohio) 91, Columbia (Missouri) College 55

Lydia Poe accounted for a game high 24 points on 11 of 12 shooting from the floor in Shawnee State’s win.

Shawnee shot 62 percent from the floor.
