After taking the position as Head Softball Coach of Bethel University in May of this year Ellen Renfroe Reed has resigned.
Bethel Director of Athletics Dale Kelley confirmed Monday Reed is leaving to be an assistant coach at Louisiana -Lafayette.
Reed’s husband, Jon who was an assistant with the program is also leaving his position.
“We are disappointed Ellen is leaving,” Dale Kelley said. “We were excited and looking forward to her leading our program but we understand she has a great opportunity. We wish her and Jon the very best. We will begin an immediate search for a new coach.”
