(September 10, 2014) JACKSON Tenn — Madison County Finance Director Mike Nichols released a comprehensive cost analysis of Jackson Madison County School System. One report is a school expenditure report with number of students, salaries including benefits, supplies, equipment, other expenditures. The second report is a Utilities analysis and shows the number of students, sq footage, number of sq ft per student, cost of utilities and Avg per sq foot costs.
The study and results will be included in the discussion the Jackson Madison County School Board and the Madison County Commission are engaged in for school reorganization. The plans include discussion and possible building re-purposing including reducing the number of buildings used for school purpose.
