(Sept 8, 2014) Jackson TN — Decatur County Sheriff Keith Byrd confirms human remains in Decatur County
Byrd wold only say investigators are on a portion of County Corner Road in Holladay Tn, a service road the runs parallel to Interstate 40
Rumors that they are the remains of missing nursing student Holly Bobo are, at this point, “wild speculation” said Sheriff Keith Byrd. Â Bobo went missing from her home in Parsons Tn in April of 2011.
Sheriff Keith Byrd confirmed hunters were in the woods looking for the herb Ginseng when they discovered the human skull.
D.A. Matt Stowe confirms the remains are human and that DNA testing will be used to identify the body.
Bryd says investigators have sent the skull and a few human bones to a forensic lab for examination and identification. Â Byrd says the only other missing person besides Holly Bobo from Decatur County is Kristie Baugus Moon who
disappeared in October of 1999.

Vital statistics: White female. Born on October 6, 1973. Wavy brown hair, brown eyes. She has freckles. Last seen wearing brown pants, a brown belt, a brown, button-down shirt, and brown boots. She was last seen by her boyfriend. He says he dropped her off at her mother’s house, but her mother said she did not arrive. Classified as Endangered Missing
Two Decatur County men have been charged with Bobo’s murder but investigators have yet to locate Bobo’s body. Earlier this year Zach Adams and Jason Autry were both indicted on charges of first-degree felony murder and especially aggravated kidnapping in Holly’s death. Two other suspects face charges related to the homicide including tampering with evidence.
Authorities emphasize at this point they can’t confirm the identity of the remains including whether they are those of Holly Bobo.
