(August 5, 2014) Jackson TN — A Lexington man accused of inappropriately touching a medical specialist agreed to a plea deal Thursday in Jackson City Court, lowering his charge from sexual battery to 69-year-old Charles James, Lexington, appeared In Jackson City Court for his preliminary hearing.
According to court records, James faced charges of sexual battery. In August police responded to Primary Care Specialists on South Highland Avenue. Investigators say an employee told police she was touched imappropriately by a patient. The employee immediately reported the incident.
James agreed to a plea deal and plead guilty to assault/offensive touching. James was sentenced to 6 months suspension and time served. James also was ordered to stay away from the victim.
