The largest earthquake to hit the San Francisco Bay area in 25 years, ignited fires, damaged historic buildings and knocked out power to thousands in California’s wine country.
(August 27, 2014)Â Napa residents survey the wreckage left by a powerful earthquake that struck the heart of California’s wine country causing significant damage and leaving at least three critically injured. The quake knocked out power to thousands, sent at least 87 people to a hospital, caused gas and water lines to rupture, sparked fires and buckled roads.
