(August 21, 2014) Jackson TN -- Montez Maxwell, 17-year-old accused of shooting a 20-year-old man at Lincoln Courts on June 22 has been charged with attempted first-degree murder. June 22 around 11 p.m. police responded to a shooting at Lincoln Courts. On the scene officers found a 20-year-old man with multiple gunshot wounds. After a transfer hearing in Madison County Juvenile Court Wednesday morning, Judge Christy Little ruled there was enough evidence to send the case to adult court. According to authorities, Maxwell is a member of the Vice Lords Gang. Maxwell will be held on a $500,000 bond. His next court appearance will be on Nov. 10 in Madison County Circuit Court.
