(June 30, 2014) Jackson TN – On June 30, 2014, Madison County Grand Jury issued an indictment against Madison County Correctional Officer Saundra D. Bundy, age 47.  Ms. Bundy was suspended today without pay pending the outcome of the indictment.

On May 9, 2014, Deputy Bundy reported that she was injured while on the job.  The investigation revealed that her claim was false and did not occur while she was on duty.

Officer Bundy was formally charged with Insurance Fraud and Theft of Property.   She will appear for arraignment on July 7, 2014, at 8:30 a.m. in Madison County Circuit Court, Division I.  She is presently being held without bond.

Officer Bundy has been employed with the Madison County Sheriff’s Office as a correctional officer since August 25, 2008.
