(May 21, 2014, Jackson, TN) – The Jackson – Madison County School System has been informed by the Tennessee Department of Education that TCAP quick scores will not be released to schools for approximately one more week due to a change in the post – equating process. Due to the importance of these results and efforts of students in taking the TCAP which is a part of your student’s final grade, the Jackson – Madison County School System will delay the release of final grades pending the state release. This delay will only affect the release of report cards to grades 3 – 8.
This Friday, May 23, 2014 ,is a half day for students and attendance will be taken. Grades K – 2 will receive their report cards as scheduled on Friday. Students in grades 3 – 8 will be notified by a district all call message and the JMCSS website when grades will be available and may be picked up at your school. Parents may choose to have report cards mailed to them by providing to their school, a self – addressed, stamped envelope
including the student’s name. School offices will be open until Monday, June 9, 2014, and after that date, remaining report cards will be available at the School Service Center at 310 North Parkway.
Any students registered for Summer School should proceed as scheduled. If you have further questions, please contact your school office.
