(May 19, 2014) Jackson TN – Humboldt Police responded to an armed robbery in progress complaint at Family Dollar Store located at N. Central Avenue.
Officers located a Hispanic male running from the area of the Dollar store and attempted to take him into custody. The suspect resisted arrest and officers had to subdue the suspect in order to take him into custody.
A weapon and a bag containing the money stolen in the robbery was recovered near the suspect. 20 year old Manuel Gomez, of Humboldt was charged with Aggravated Robbery, Theft Under $500.00, Evading Arrest Nobody were injured during the robbery.
Gomez was transferred to the Gibson County Correctional Complex where his bond was set at $50,000.00.
Gomez will be arraigned in Humboldt General Court at 9:00 a.m on Wednesday, May 21,2014.
