On 06/18/14, an arrest warrant was issued for Davarious C. Scott for the incident and search warrant that occurred at 920 Prospect Apt.1. Davarious C. Scott is being charged with possession of a firearm during the commission of a dangerous felony, possession of marijuana with intent to resale, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, evading arrest and assault on an officer. Davarious C. Scott is currently on parole and is being sought for his arrest warrant.

On 6/13/14 at approximately 8:50 pm Jackson Police Officers were dispatched to 920 Prospect apartment 1 in reference to a domestic disturbance. Officers were speaking with the occupant and complainant and during their investigation officers smelled the odor of marijuana coming from the apartment. A black male then fled the apartment and officers were unable to locate him. The patrol officers notified Metro Narcotics investigators because they believed there was marijuana inside the apartment. Metro Narcotics Investigators wrote a search warrant for 920 Prospect Apt.1 and it was signed by a Judge.

When the search warrant was signed and back at the residence, Investigators started searching the apartment. Investigators and patrol officers searched the apartment and located several large bags of high grade marijuana, a loaded firearm, digital scales, and ammunition for the firearm located and for another firearm. During the search investigators located information about the possible suspect that indicated he was a convicted felon and is currently on parole. The high grade marijuana located had an approximate weight of 682 grams almost a pound and a half. The approximate street value of the marijuana is $6,820. The identity of the suspect is being withheld at this time because the investigation is ongoing.
