(March 6, 2014)- Jackson, Tenn.- There was a fire at the Jackson Meadows Residence assisted living home on March 4.
Firefighters arrived and found an attic fire which firefighters put out. Chief Max Stewart says that the fire was stopped pretty quickly.
There was a lot of water used and that caused extensive water damages.
Four sprinkler heads went off in the attic and the fire hoses put out 100 gallons of water per minute.
Water was coming down from the attic where the fire originated and drained down all three floors and into some of the light fixtures.
No residents have moved back in. Some residents are staying at area motels and hotels and the rest are with their families.
