(March 4, 2014) Jackson, Tenn.- Ice and snow have come to Jackson and West Tennessee and roads have iced over.
Since conditions are still icy on sidewalks and temperatures are near freezing or freezing, the Downtown Jackson Mardis Gras Parade has been canceled.
There will still be a party to crown the 2014 Downtown Jackson Mardis Gras King and Queen at the Downtown Tavern.
Live music will begin at 4PM with two bands performing with food vendors set up outside of the Downtown venue.
The announcement of the royalty and the crowning will begin at 6PM.
