Irish eyes were smiling after the Jackson Beer Board approved two applications at the City Council Chambers, Wednesday.

Mary Elizabeth Truett, who owns Mulligan’s, was approved to sell, store and serve beer at its new location at 1364 Union University Drive in Thomsen Farms.

The request for the permit was necessary because Mulligan’s is relocating from 1037 Union University Drive.

Ole Irish, LLC doing business as the Blacksmith, and owned by Bethany (Beth) Ann Dunn, was approved to sell, store and serve beer at 216 North Shannon Street.

The Blacksmith is scheduled to open in three weeks.
