(January 24, 2014) Henry County, Tenn.- Special Agents from the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation arrested Henry County Trustee David Daniel Stone.
TBI arrested Stone after he allegedly sent intimidating messages to his opponent in the County Trustee race.
TBI says that on January 19, the candidate received messages from Stone via Facebook that related to attending an event.
TBI notes that messages presented a “specific threat that constituted a violation of the victim’s civil rights under Tennessee law.”
Stone was charged with Civil Rights Intimidation. He was arrested on the evening of January 22 and given $7,500 bond.
