(August 17, 2013) Jackson, Tenn.- The Jackson Police Department conducted Operation Checkmate 1, a police saturation operation.

The 14-hour operation, considered a success by Captain Tyreece Miller, yielded 39 arrests and the seizure of three guns, marijuana, cocaine, and methamphetamine.
