(August 13, 2013) Jackson, Tenn.- JEA plans to move their downtown customer service center from its current location on East College Street.
JEA purchased the Patriot Equity Credit Union building at 351 Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Drive. That building is located adjacent to the Post Office downtown.
JEA is anticipating that they will open at that location on Monday August 19th. A release from JEA said that once the new building is open, the East College Street office will be closed.
During the closure of the East College Street facility, an analysis and evaluation will be conducted to determine the best course of action for restoration.
The building on East College was closed on July 15th due to some water damage that they suffered.
