Court Reporters Trying to Beat World Record

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — Court reporters will try to beat a world record 360 words per minute during a meeting of the National Court Reporters Association in Nashville.

The competition takes place Thursday beginning at 4:30 p.m. at the Gaylord Opryland Resort and Convention Center.

According to the association, the current Guinness world record was set in 2004 by Mark Kislingbury. He will be one of the six contestants trying for a new record.
