Generals, Smokies resume series at 6:05 p.m., tonight at the Ballpark at Jackson

Kelly Dugan was the bright spot for the Jackson Generals in a 4-2 loss to the Tennessee Smokies at the Ballpark at Jackson, Sunday.

Dugan accounted for two of Jackson’s six hits, while scoring one run and adding one of the two RBIs.

Taylor Clarke (9-7, 2.91 ERA) was charged with the loss after allowing three runs – all earned – in six innings.

The Smokies, who are tied with the Generals (18-18) for third place in the Southern League’s North Division, managed seven hits off Clarke.

The Generals and Smokies find themselves nine games behind division leader Chattanooga when play resumes in their five-game series at the 6:05 p.m., today, at the Ballpark at Jackson.
