Man Arrested for Statutory Rape and Drug Charges

On April 7 a Jackson woman contacted Jackson police after learning that on or about March 8 around 11:30 p.m., Gregory Price, 18, had come to her home while she was at work. The woman's 13-year-old daughter allowed Price, who lived in the neighborhood, inside the house and they had consensual sexual intercourse.

Police issued an arrest warrant for Price for Statutory Rape. On Tuesday evening, Jackson Street Crimes officers went to Price's residence in the 90 block of Overhill Drive and took him into custody.

Officers found a small bag of marijuana in Price's front pants pocket.

He is scheduled to be formally arraigned Thursday at 8 a.m. in Jackson City Court on charges of Statutory Rape and Simple Possession of Marijuana.
