At Tuesday’s Jackson City Council meeting Library activist and board member Sharon Younger appealed to the members to increase the current budget an amount that would cover 4 years deficit of payment to Tennessee Consolidated Retirement System (TCRS) for retired library employees and ask the members to consider ways the city might take over library funding.
