The Jackson Police Department is seeking the public's help in attempting to identify two black female suspects who passed counterfeit one hundred dollar bills at Old Hickory Mall.
Belk loss prevention personnel reported that on 3-27-14 an unidentified black female made two separate purchases using one hundred dollar bills that were later discovered to be counterfeit. A second unidentified black female attempted to make a purchase with a one hundred dollar bill at Belk that was recognized as counterfeit and the purchase was declined by the cashier.
This second female then went to Macy's and used a counterfeit one hundred dollar bill to purchase a $20.00 gift card.
The fake money was used at Macy's and Belk on March 27th. Anyone with information on the two suspects should contact the Jackson Police Department or Crime Stoppers at 424-8477.
