Bunny Run Brings Car Lovers To Jackson

(April 12, 2014) Jackson, Tenn.- Classic cars from all across the country converged on Jackson, Tennessee to bask in the limelight at the 2014 Bunny Run.

George Wallace, one of the charter members of Old Hickory Street Rods, told us that they merged with Jackson Rod and Custom to make the Jackson Rod and Custom Bunny Run. The 22 year old event got it’s name from it’s proximity to the Easter Holiday. It is held either before Easter or after it.

Exhibitors come from Illinois, Missouri, and at least 4 other states to Jackson to show off their cars. “They love the hospitality that Jackson, Tennessee gives them.  That’s the reason they come back,” Wallace explained. Exhibitors were fed both nights of the event.

Cars on display include this 1941 Chevy Suburban owned by Charles Langford, a 1955 Ford Wayne Bus owned by Tony Nash, a 1929 Ford Model A, a 1950 Studabaker Starlight Coupe owned by Vic Peco, And David Warings’ 1932 Ford V8 Cabriolet signed by racers and musicians alike, including Edsel B. Ford.
