(March 25, 2014) Jackson, TN – At least 36 individuals were arrested today in Obion and Weakley Counties as part of a
combined federal, state, and local investigation of criminal activity in the area, announced U.S. Attorney
Edward L. Stanton III; ATF Special Agent in Charge Jeff Fulton; and 27th District Attorney General
Thomas A. Thomas.
Twelve federal indictments were unsealed Tuesday accusing 18 individuals of a variety of charges, including
illegal firearm possession, illegal drug trafficking, and counterfeiting. In addition to those charged
federally, General Thomas’s office announced 22 indictments were returned naming 23 individuals on
state charges.
