UPDATE
31-year-old Sheena Fason, and 24-year-old Charketa Woody, both of Jackson, were arraigned in Jackson City Court Wednesday morning on charges of theft over $1,000.
Fason's and Woody's bonds were both set at $10,000 each, and their next scheduled court date is April 17 at 1:30 p.m. in City Court.
(March 25, 2014) Jackson Tenn – Two K-Mart employees have been charged with felony theft for free bagging almost $3,000 worth of merchandise over a three-week period.
On Tuesday evening, Jackson police were called to K-Mart at 732 Old Hickory Blvd. Loss prevention personnel had detained employees, Sheena Fason and Charketa Woody.
Police learned that on numerous occasions between March 1 and 24, the two women would often work together. Each would purchase items when the other was working at the check-out counter. The person scanning merchandise would purposely not scan everything, and the buyer would get items for free. This practice is commonly referred to as "free bagging".
According to K-Mart's records, Fason has stolen $1,573.21 by giving Woody and other customers merchandise without them paying.

Both women were transported from K-Mart to the Madison County Jail.
