The Jackson Generals ended a two-game losing skid winning their seventh game out of the last nine with a 9-4 win over the Montgomery Biscuits, at the Ballpark at Jackson, Saturday.
Oscar Hernandez (2-4) picked up two RBIs in the sixth when he hit his sixth home run of the season, for the defending Southern League champions.
Kevin Medrano (2-5, .323 average) contributed two RBIs, and Jamie Westbrook (2-4) added multiple hits in the win.
Alex Young (6-5, 4.63 ERA) allowed three runs -earned – while striking out five in six innings to pick up the win.
The Generals send Joel Payamps (3-3, 6.75 ERA) to the mound to face the Biscuits at 6:05 p.m., today.
