The “Statue of Liberty” was crafted by master carver, Ken Tynan.  Tynan, a native of Pittsburg, Iowa, was a billboard painter for many years.  Because of the progression of technology in printers, he later decided to become a sculptor.  Jackson’s “Statue of Liberty” was carved out of a one hundred year old oak tree.  Tynan has carved other statues such as bears, dogs, and eagles for businesses and people all over the United States.

Collins Tree Service aided in Tynan’s carving process by cutting down part of the soon to be “Statue of Liberty”.  Tom Collins, owner of Collins Tree Service, and his crew were a vital part of the process.

Jackson’s new wooden “Statue of Liberty” is the first of its kind and has caused a buzz online in other areas of the world such as, Russia, South America, and Australia.
