Fireworks follow Generals game at the Ballpark at Jackson, tonight

For the first time since 2008, the Jackson Generals are home for the July 4th holiday.

The Birmingham Barons provide the opposition at 6:05 p.m., at the Ballpark at Jackson, and the United States Marine Corps provides the postgame fireworks.

Jackson ended a six-game losing streak Monday at Kodak with a 4-1 win over the Tennessee Smokies at Smokies Stadium.

Taylor Clarke (7-4, 2.74 ERA) allowed one run (unearned) and one hit, while striking out seven in six complete innings of work.

Galli Cribbs,playing in his fourth game at the Double A level, went two-for-three and scored two runs for the Generals – 4-7 second half, 41-40 overall.
