JACKSON TN (June 23, 2017) – 30-year-old Ebony Pruitt is charged with second-degree murder of her boyfriend, 34-year-old Kelset Price, according to a release from the Jackson Police Department.

Pruitt’s mother, Vernetta Pruitt is charged with tampering with evidence in a homicide investigation.

Early Wednesday morning Jackson Police responded to a residence on Glendale Street where the victim was found with multiple stab wounds.

Price was transported to a local hospital where he was later pronounced dead.

According to Investigators Ebony Pruitt fatally stabbed Price during an altercation. Pruitt’s mother Vernetta Pruitt allegedly removed the knife from the crime scene which later recovered outside another home.
