The consumer is winning this battle if a few convenient stores have engaged in a gas war.

If you pay cash, Dodge’s, 2670 N. Highland Ave., is selling unleaded regular at $1.93 a gallon. If you use a credit card, it’s $1.95 per gallon.

Charjean Drive separates Dodge’s and Northside Express, 2652 North Highland Ave., where unleaded regular is selling for $1.99, and across the street, at 2655 N. Highland Ave., Marathon has $2.01 on unleaded regular.
