JACKSON, Tenn. — The University of Memphis Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) program welcomed prospective students to an open house Friday, Oct. 23, at the Lambuth Campus in Jackson, offering visitors an opportunity to experience the program firsthand.
Held in the Wilder Student Union and Hyde Hall, the event gave prospective students an opportunity to tour classrooms and laboratory spaces, meet faculty and staff, connect with current DPT students and engage with representatives from local businesses and community organizations. Visitors also learned more about admission requirements, the application process and what to expect as a student in the program.
The open house comes just months after the program welcomed its inaugural cohort in Fall 2026. Students from the inaugural class also helped with the event, joining faculty and staff in welcoming prospective students to campus.
“There is something powerful about being able to walk the halls, meet the faculty and students involved in the program and experience the culture of a program firsthand. Our open house allowed prospective students to see not only the resources and opportunities available to them, but also the caring, collaborative community that is committed to helping them grow into compassionate and skilled physical therapists,” said Dr. Jacque Bradford, DPT program director.
