From the Jackson Police Department
On October 1, 2026, at approximately 5:18 p.m., officers with the Jackson Police Department responded to a report of an active stabbing at the Ingram factory, located at 210 American Drive.
Upon arrival, officers learned that a 45-year-old female victim had been attacked by her former boyfriend, identified as Willie Johnson, 59-years-old.
Johnson entered the factory and stabbed the victim multiple times in the head, neck, and chest area with a box cutter while she was working. Johnson then fled the scene in a gray 2018 Dodge Charger. The incident was captured on video surveillance.
The victim sustained severe injuries and was transported to a hospital in Memphis, where she is currently listed in critical condition.
The suspect vehicle was later located wrecked near Lexington by the Henderson County Sheriff’s Office. Johnson was located approximately one mile from the vehicle along the roadside and was taken into custody in a joint effort from Henderson County SO, Lexington PD, and JPD officers.
This remains an active investigation. Additional information, including applicable charges, will be released as it becomes available.
