Planning Commission revokes previously approved Gracelyn Park preliminary plat
The Jackson Municipal Regional Planning Commission has revoked a previously approved preliminary plat following request from property owner.
On March 5, 2025, the Planning Commission approved the Gracelyn Park Preliminary Plat, which was submitted by the previous property owner, Emeka Bakari.
The property – bordered by Twin Oaks Place and Ridgedale Drive – has since been sold to the current owner, Vanessa McKenzie.
She does not intend to pursue approval of the final subdivision plat and requested the Planning Commission revoke the previously approved Gracelyn Park Preliminary Plat during its monthly meeting.
Shifting gears – former tire center being redeveloped into 6 tenant spaces on Vann Drive
No tenants have been announced, but renovations to convert a former tire center into a retail/office complex continue at 817 Vann Drive.
The 11,620-square-foot facility will offer six tenant spaces and parking for 60 vehicles.
Planning Commission approves design review for existing business to expand
The consideration of a design review application for Hub City Veterinarian and Pet Resort – 2946 Bells Highway – has been approved by the Jackson Municipal Regional Planning Commission.
Owners are expanding their facilities and services and Hub City Veterinarian and Pet Resort will be adjacent to Hub City Animal Hospital at 2968 Bells Highway.
