Darion Taylor, a senior all-purpose football player at Humboldt High School, has been selected as the male ‘Athlete of the Week’ presented by Jackson State Community College.

Taylor made the most of his evening on both sides of the ball – and special teams – in Humboldt’s 29-21 win over Peabody.

Defensively, Taylor recorded 15.5 tackles.

He returned three kicks for 147 yards, one for 80 yards and a touchdown, and caught seven passes for 109 yards and a touchdown.

The Vikings (2-0) entertain South Fulton, Friday.
