Park National Bank opens in Thomsen Farms

Newark, Ohio-based Park National Corp., which acquired Dyersburg, Tennessee-based First Citizens Bancshares, has opened at 381 Walker Road in Thomsen Farms.

Business hours are 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m., Monday through Thursday, and 8:30 a.m. – 5 p.m., Friday.

Drive-thru hours – 8 a.m. – 5 p.m., Monday – Friday.

Acquiring First Citizens adds 24 banks in the approximate $317.3 million deal.

The transaction pushes Park past the $10 billion-asset threshold permanently. It counted $9.9 billion in assets as of Sept. 30, 2025 – and briefly crossed the $10 billion mark, necessitating stricter regulation, in 2021 and 2023. Buying First Citizens will add approximately $2.6 billion in assets to the Ohio bank.

First Citizens will also gain greater lending capacity for its commercial and small-business customers through Park.
