As football season gets underway, Lifeline is reminding the community that the most important team in our area isn’t on the field – it’s the team of generous blood donors who help ensure local hospitals have the blood they need for patients facing emergencies, surgeries, cancer treatments, accidents and other medical conditions.

“Every blood donor is an MVP,” said Melinda Reid, Marketing Manager at Lifeline. “Just one donation can make a tremendous difference for patients in local hospitals. We need our community to step up, get in the game and help us tackle the blood shortage.”

The need for blood doesn’t take a timeout. Blood is needed every day, and summer is especially challenging for blood collections.

To thank donors for their generosity, everyone who donates at the August 20 blood drive will receive two special vouchers –

��A free car wash from Parrott’s

Additionally, every donor will receive a football themed donor t-shirt and donors 18+ will be entered into Lifeline’s summer long promotion which is a 2024 Ford Maverick Truck XLT generously donated by Joe Mahan Ford in Paris.
