Business Spotlight – Russ McKelvey joins Blue Suede Realty
JACKSON, Tenn. — Blue Suede Realty is proud to announce the addition of Russ McKelvey to its growing team of real estate professionals serving West Tennessee.
Bringing a unique combination of experience in inspections, lending, renovations, and real estate transactions, Russ offers clients a well-rounded understanding of the buying and selling process from multiple angles.
Before becoming a licensed REALTOR, Russ served as Operations Manager of West Tennessee and Director of Marketing for Mack Pest Control, where he conducted hundreds of wood-destroying insect inspections and prepared detailed reports for buyers, sellers, lenders, and agents. Working closely alongside home inspections and appraisals gave him valuable insight into property condition, negotiations, and the details that can impact a transaction.
Russ later expanded his expertise into mortgage lending as a Mortgage Originator with Leaders Credit Union. In that role, he guided clients through loan selection, refinancing, and closing processes, including assisting with for-sale-by-owner transactions. His experience reviewing contracts, appraisals, and inspection reports gives clients an added layer of confidence throughout their real estate experience.
Real estate has long been part of Russ’s life. Growing up, he spent years helping maintain and improve investment properties before purchasing and renovating his own home in Jackson’s historic Lambuth neighborhood. His hands-on experience with renovations and property improvement gives him a practical perspective that benefits both buyers and sellers alike.
