USJ’s Ryan Rolison on active roster with MLB’s Chicago Cubs; earned win over LA Dodgers in relief

Ryan Rolison, a 2016 University School of Jackson graduate is on the active roster with the Chicago Cubs after being called up from the Iowa Cubs (Chicago’s Triple A affiliate) April 14, 2026.

 

A left-handed pitcher, Rolison was selected in the first round of the 2018 MLB Draft by the Colorado Rockies.

 

Making his second appearance of the season, Rolison (1-0) tossed three scoreless innings of relief to earn the win in Friday’s (April 24) 6-4 victory over the Dodgers. He allowed two hits and struck out one.

 

Rolison played in his first MLB game with the Rockies when he worked one-third of an inning – the bottom of the eighth at Globe Life Field in Arlington, Texas, against the Texas Rangers on May 13, 2025.
