Construction begins on First Watch in Jackson, TN

Construction crews began gutting the former Red Robin building in Jackson, Tennessee, this morning as work kicks off on the city’s first First Watch location.

First Watch, which specializes in elevated classics like avocado toast, pancakes, omelets, and signature juices using high-quality ingredients, confirmed plans earlier this year to take over the space previously occupied by the burger chain. The move brings Jackson its first outpost of the national brand, which operates hundreds of locations across the country and emphasizes made-to-order dishes served only during daytime hours.

No official opening date has been announced yet, but the visible progress this morning signals that transformation of the building is underway. Many locals have already expressed excitement online about the upcoming addition, with some sharing memories of enjoying First Watch at other cities and looking forward to having the option closer to home.

The project is expected to breathe new life into the prominent Vann Drive spot, giving Jackson diners a fresh breakfast and brunch destination in a convenient shopping center location. Updates on the timeline will follow as interior and exterior work continues.
