Jackson, TN – The highly anticipated opening of Cold Stone Creamery at The Columns on Vann Drive has been temporarily delayed due to permitting-related timing adjustments.
While the Jackson community has shown tremendous excitement for the arrival of the nationally recognized ice cream brand, final approvals and permitting processes have extended the project timeline slightly. The development team is actively working with local authorities to complete all necessary steps to ensure a smooth and successful opening.
“We are incredibly excited to bring Cold Stone Creamery to Jackson and appreciate the community’s patience as we finalize the last details,” said Stan Clampitt, who represented the transaction. “This will be a great addition to the Vann Drive corridor, and we’re looking forward to announcing a new grand opening date soon.”
Cold Stone Creamery, known for its premium ice cream creations made fresh on a frozen granite stone, will join the thriving retail mix at The Columns—one of Jackson’s most active shopping destinations.

Flatiron Restaurant Group, the local hospitality team behind popular spots like Flatiron Grille, Bistro Eleven Sixty, and Nolins, has announced plans to open Tavola Italian Kitchen at 1150 Vann Drive, the site of the former Pyros Fire Fresh Pizza.
The new Italian restaurant will occupy the space that previously housed the Memphis-based pizza chain, which closed its Jackson location in late 2025 after operating for several years. Flatiron Group, already a strong presence on Vann Drive with its three restaurants, is expanding its footprint with this fresh dining concept.
Tavola Italian Kitchen is expected to bring classic and contemporary Italian fare to the area, adding another option to Jackson’s growing restaurant scene along the busy corridor. While specific menu details and an opening date have not yet been released, signage at the property has signaled the upcoming arrival under the Flatiron banner.
