Stanton, TN – A major employer in West Tennessee is preparing for a significant workforce reduction, with 150 employees expected to be laid off at a local battery facility.
This announcement has No impact on the Ford Tennessee Truck Plant at the same location.
According to the Tennessee Department of Labor and Workforce Development, BlueOval SK filed a WARN notice indicating the permanent layoffs will take effect Wednesday, May 6, 2026. The impacted facility is located at 2022 Battery Park Drive in Stanton, within Haywood County.
Each team member will receive their regular pay and benefits for the next 60 days. A core group of highly skilled team members will be retained to assist with winding down BOSK operations and building the new, solely owned SK On company.
