Mark Campbell: Union University’s Athletic Director & Champion Leader

Union University’s Mark Campbell, a dynamic Athletic Director and legendary Women’s Basketball Head Coach in Jackson, Tennessee. Serving as only the third athletic director in Union’s last 50 years, Campbell brings decades of proven excellence, character, and a passion-driven vision for the Bulldogs’ athletic future.

Since taking the helm of Union’s women’s basketball program in 1999, Campbell has compiled a staggering 775–120 career record (.866 winning percentage), placing him at the top of the school’s winningest coaches list. Under his leadership, the Lady Bulldogs secured five national championships, including four NAIA titles (2005, 2006, 2009, 2010) and one NCCAA title (2014), along with multiple national semifinal and third-place finishes Campbell also broke college basketball history by being the fastest coach—across all divisions—to reach 600 and 700 career wins, achieving these milestones in just over 800 games—shaving game counts compared to legends like Geno Auriemma and Adolph Rupp.
