From the Jackson Police Department

[Jackson, TN] — On February 2, 2026, at approximately 9:16 pm, an armed incident occurred at Jack’s Restaurant, 3180 N. Highland, involving multiple suspects. According to initial reports, one male suspect displayed a handgun and fired into the business through a window at a group of people.

The suspects then fled the scene.

During the incident, a juvenile was struck by projectile fragments and sustained superficial, non-life-threatening injuries. Emergency Medical Services (EMS) responded promptly and transported the victim to a nearby hospital for treatment. This appears to be a targeted incident.

Authorities are currently investigating this incident and are seeking any witnesses or individuals with information that could assist in the ongoing investigation.
