Madison County Health offices reopen Tuesday; solid waste convenience centers continue phase reopening

JACKSON, Tenn. –Madison County Health offices will be open on Tuesday, February 3. This includes WIC and the Rabies Center.

Madison County Solid Waste Convenience Centers will continue a phased reopening. The following locations will be open from 7 a.m. – 5 p.m. on Feb. 3

  • 360 Smith Lane (Airport)
  • 130 H. O. Forgy Drive

Additionally, one Center will be open from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. on Feb. 3

  • 199 Oakfield Road

All other sites remain closed.

Pipkin Road and Passmore Lane locations—which reopened on February 1—will be on a delayed schedule February 3 due to full compactors. These sites will reopen as soon as compactors can be emptied. Reopening times will depend on road conditions and landfill lines and are not yet known. Madison County Health will share updates as soon as possible.

Residents should expect possible lines and are encouraged to use caution when visiting open Solid Waste Convenience Centers.

Staff are actively working to clear additional sites and will reopen more locations as soon as it is safe to do so.
