The Jackson Symphony Music Academy (JSMA): The youth music education program offered by The Jackson Symphony that offers students high quality orchestral, strings and choral instruction in two different ways:
- Tuition programs located in Jackson; includes Youth Orchestra, Beginning and Intermediate Strings, and Children’s and Youth Choirs
- Regional Music Centers located throughout West TN that makes string and choral education accessible to students in their own communities
- Tuition programs in Madison County include the following: Youth Orchestra, Camerata & Sinfonia Strings and Children’s & Youth Choirs
- Performance opportunities including: Academy concerts and special events, Side-by-side with the professional The Jackson Symphony.
Regional Music Centers (RMCs):Â Satellite community music programs offered by JSMA to expand access to music education throughout West Tennessee.
- Provide free string and choral instruction close to where students live to remove as many barriers as possible to music education.
- Counties served: Dyer, Gibson, Haywood, Henry, Madison, McNairy, Obion, Weakley
- Performance integration: Students from RMCs join full JSMA orchestra and choirs for joint seasonal concerts — encouraging community performance and ensemble experience.
