Green Frog Coffee & Grill Closes South Jackson Location
Jackson, TN — January 2, 2026
Green Frog Coffee $ Grill is closing its South Jackson site on January 10 after four years, due to ongoing profitability issues from increased local coffee competition.
The chain’s other three locations remain profitable, with a possible new spot in Atoka, TN, in late 2026.
The building will become Taco vs Pizza around mid-March.

Green Frog Coffee & Grill starts 2026 with quite a bit of news. We start with the difficult decision we have made at our South Jackson location. After four years of serving South Jackson we continued to struggle with making this location profitable. We started almost six months ago trying to find a better business fit for the building and someone who could assume our remaining lease. The addition of multiple coffee shops in South Jackson depleted coffee sales considerably. No one new was drinking coffee, those who did were just dividing their visits among more locations. With just two out of four speciality coffee providers remaining- hopefully the two will have a better chance of success. Our other three locations continue to operate at very profitable volumes. We met with our staff at 6am this morning to let them know our last day of operation in South Jackson will be Jan 10. Any outstanding gift cards will still work at our other three locations and even our potential new location in Atoka, TN slated to possibly open in the last quarter of 2026. Please come see us in North Jackson to satisfy your Green Frog Coffee cravings. The new tenant for the building should be open around mid March 2026 and will be Taco vs Pizza. We believe they will bring a new and welcomed variety to the South Jackson community.
We will have a small wares sale like dishes, pots, pans, etc at our South Jackson location on Thurs and Fri Jan 15 and Jan 16 open to the public from 7am-5pm. Watch our facebook page a few days before to see what we will have for sale. All larger equipment is included in the sale to Taco Vs. Pizza.
We are proud to announce our roaster is up and running at our Dyersburg location and will help us control our coffee costs in a volatile coffee market. We will roast all coffee (300lbs/week) here and distribute it to our other locations. Dyersburg will also handle the production and distribution of our soups (60 gallons/week). We do have the capacity to add other roasting for other local shops to help them save money. We can provide 5lb bags and match your profile for around $55/5lb bag. North Jackson will now become our ice cream (100 gallons/week) and Ho Ho Egg roll (1000/week) production store and distribute both to other locations. They will add a staff position to accomplish this.
A new menu launch or more of a tweak is scheduled for February first and will feature menu information including gluten, calories, nuts, dairy, and protein information. Along with our new menu launch we will be raising our pay scales for employees. We will continue to offer our group medical, dental, and vision insurance as well.
Dirty snowman hot mix and one pound coffee bags will be available to schools, ball teams, church groups, and civic organization for presale and fundraising in 2026. We will continue to offer our scoop night fundraisers as well where we donate $1 of every scoop of ice cream to the organization holding the event at one of our locations.
Our vison and potential new locations currently include Atoka, TN (fourth quarter of 2026), Paducah, Ky (have met with downtown developers), and Selmer, TN (in discussion with property owners). We have recently completed the federal registration of our Green Frog Coffee & Grill name and mark as well as trademarked The Famous Dirty Snowman and The Salty Snowman names.
