Raising Cane’s opening delayed on Vann Drive

Jackson, TN – Fans of Raising Cane’s Chicken Fingers in Jackson will have to wait a bit longer for the chain’s highly anticipated arrival. The new location at 1035 Vann Drive, which was originally targeted for late 2025 and later pushed to early January 2026, has seen further delays.

The Google Business listing for the restaurant now shows an opening date of February 10, 2026. However, when contacted by Talk-N West TN this morning, a Raising Cane’s spokesperson stated that there is currently no official opening date associated with the Jackson restaurant.

The representative confirmed that hiring is ongoing, with positions still being filled. This comes amid a recent Indeed posting for a Restaurant Manager role at the upcoming Jackson location, indicating preparations continue despite the setbacks.

Construction and permitting issues have been cited in previous updates as reasons for earlier delays. The site, formerly home to a TGI Fridays, is part of Raising Cane’s ongoing expansion in Tennessee.

Construction begins on new Chick-fil-A at former Chili’s location

Construction has officially begun on a brand new Chick-fil-A restaurant directly across the street from the popular existing location on Vann Drive in Jackson, Tennessee.

The new site, located at the former Chili’s property on Emporium Drive, will feature a larger 5,985 square foot facility designed to better accommodate the high demand from local customers. Plans for the relocation were initially approved earlier this year by the Jackson Municipal Regional Planning Commission, following the demolition of the old building.

The current Chick-fil-A at 3 Stonebridge Boulevard off Vann Drive, known for its record breaking sales and long drive-thru lines, will continue operations during construction. The move aims to provide an upgraded experience with improved traffic flow and more

The new restaurant will offer 85 parking spaces.

The new restaurant is expected to open in 2026, replacing the current Vann Dr. Chick-fil-A across the street.

Chick-fil-A is currently located at 3 Stonebridge Blvd., 16 Tinker Hill Road in front of the Old Hickory Mall on the southwest corner of North Highland Avenue and Tinker Hill Road, and inside the Jackson-Madison County General Hospital.

Expansion to create 285 new jobs and represents nearly $110 million in capital investment

HALLS, Tenn. – Tennessee Gov. Bill Lee, Deputy Gov. and Department of Economic and Community Development Commissioner Stuart C. McWhorter and ALUKO Group officials announced ALUKO Group has selected Halls, Tennessee, for its second U.S. manufacturing facility.

ALUKO Group will create 285 new jobs in Lauderdale County and invest $107.7 million to locate its integrated aluminum manufacturing operations in the former Tupperware building in Halls, Tennessee. Once operational, the retrofitted facility will further support and expand the company’s customer base across the electric vehicle (EV), solar energy, construction and building industries.

Based in South Korea, the ALUKO Group consists of ALUKO, Hyundai Aluminium, Gogang Aluminium, Alutec, KPTU, Hyundai Aluminium Vina and Alutec Vina. Today’s announcement marks the company’s second project to locate in Tennessee in the last year. In December 2024, ALUKO Group announced it would establish its first U.S. manufacturing facility in Jackson, Tennessee.
