Statement Regarding Social Media Post and Ongoing Investigation
[Jackson, TN] – The Jackson Police Department is aware of the social media post circulating regarding an incident that occurred on December 9, 2025 at a local movie theater. A citizen’s complaint has been officially filed, and we are conducting an investigation to review all available information and determine the facts regarding our officers’ response.
We understand and appreciate the public’s concern. Our commitment remains to transparency, accountability, and ensuring every complaint is handled with the seriousness it deserves.

Yall needs to fix it not say it’s under investigation…. Or fire them officers because this is over people who paid for a ticket and popcorn… it’s giving PREJUDICE!!!!
How is this prejudice? Was every child of color? Do we know that’s why what happened happened? Cops and theater both did wrong, but screaming prejudice when we don’t know what happened is crazy.
It’s all unprofessional, and crazy work ! The kids didn’t deserve it . My 3 year old was one of the kids … the workers and the manager need to be fired ! That’s not how u run an establishment by far … some people don’t play about they kids and I’m one of the people that DONT PLAY
I think the employees and the police officers all should be fired immediately!!
Sounds like your so called police needs training on hold to handle the public with
Decency and respect because all of that just traumatized those babies that was excited to see a movie. I no longer live in Jackson but in Jackson a couple times a week.
