JACKSON, Tenn (July 8, 2015) – Dr. Verna Ruffin, superintendent of Jackson-Madison County Schools, today announced four new principal appointments for the 2015-2016 school year.
Tracey Vowell, former principal at North Parkway Middle School, has been named principal at Pope Elementary. Tiffany Taylor, former principal at Denmark Elementary has been named principal at North Parkway Middle School. Catherine Garrett has been named principal of Denmark Elementary and Paul Eichelkraut has been named principal at Malesus Elementary.
Superintendent Names New Principals at Four JMCSS Schools
- Tracey Vowell has served as principal at North Parkway Middle School for the past five years.
- Tiffany Taylor has served as principal at Denmark Elementary for the past six years.
- Catherine Garrett joins the district as principal of Denmark Elementary after having served in the Memphis/Shelby County School System for 18 years. Garrett most recently served on the Performance Improvement Team for Shelby County Schools and has also served as teacher for grades 2, 4 and 6; instruction facilitator; assistant principal and planning principal.
- Paul Eichelkraut joins the district as principal at Malesus Elementary after having served in the Milwaukee, Wisconsin Public School System for nine years. Eichelkraut most recently served as Director of the Milwaukee Public Schools Initiative.
