19-year-old victim of Sunday’s hit-and-run has died

From the Jackson Police Department –

Officers with the Jackson Police Department responded to an accident on the U.S. Highway 45 Bypass near Hollywood Drive around 3 a.m., Sunday, March 8, 2020.

A 19 year old male, Randavious Deberry, was struck by a passing vehicle while changing a flat tire on the side of the road.

Deberry later died as a result of his injuries. The vehicle involved was last seen traveling south bound on the 45 Bypass toward Airways Blvd and is possibly a burgundy 2016 Toyota Corolla.

The vehicle should have front end damage to the front right bumper.

The pictures are NOT of the actual vehicle but the correct make and model.
